Leadership course
The concept
The leadership training consists of 5 4-hour sessions where we will deep dive in the foundations of personal leadership and leadership. Ideally, the sessions are held at least 2 or 3 weeks apart so that participants can apply the learned theory & skills in practice. Personal leadership is about taking ownership of our development path and trying to become more conscious of our actions and needs. We will spend time building a holistic image of ourselves to analyze our own personality, norms & value system, and behavior and try to explain it with modern theories. We will reflect on our actions and take a step-by-step approach to improve ourselves and get to the next step. After this, we will continue with our communication with others. Do we understand how we come across on others and how we give feedback? How can we do this in a non-harmful way while still achieving maximum results?
After the personal leadership segment, we will move on to the leadership segment. What are good and effective leadership practices? What characteristics do we find in good leaders and what leadership theories do we have across history? How can we find a good situational balance between agency (tasks orientation) and relatedness (people orientation)? What are our own preferred styles and how can we develop other styles? How does our behavior influence our teams and how do we create a strong team? These are just a few of the questions that will be answered during the course.
